Speaker Preview is often the first place that a presenter will visit after registering for the conference. As such, the room often acts as a first point of contact between presenters and chairpersons, allowing everybody concerned to become familiar with the content of the speaker’s presentation. In addition to this, inexperienced speakers are often unaware of how to use the equipment provided to them in the main hall, speaker preview allows a technician to brief the presenter in advance, which can have the added bonus of settling down some cases of nerves.
