Here at ESW, we love summer…why? Because summer season = festival season.
We have an endless passion for festivals and live events; 2017 has been no different. All of our staff have involvement and take great enjoyment in music and events, both inside and outside of the industry.
The annual Children’s Week in Torbay is coming up this summer and will be celebrating it’s 71st year, making it the longest running event free festival of its kind. Held in Torbay, the 5-day event provides plenty of free fun and activities for children, young people and their families and as always, ESW Solutions Ltd are proud to be involved!
For nearly 10 years, we have worked alongside SBNS twice a year for their exciting Spring and Autumn conferences in many fantastic locations throughout the UK.
We love these times of year particularly, as these events encompass so much of what we can offer to our clients at their events.
It all begins with a site visit to each venue to gauge exactly what we need to provide in order to meet all AV needs and ensure everything runs smoothly. We’ll also continue to liaise with the venues throughout on our client’s behalf to make sure they have everything they need.
We’ve had an absolutely amazing response to our Trainee AV Technician vacancy with over 100 applications! We’re thrilled to announce that the position has been filled and our team is growing once again.
We welcome Matt Cowell as the latest addition to our team. Coming from an audio and live events background, we are confident that he will develop into one of our highly valued AV technicians.
April has come around fast after an already fantastic 2017 and we are particularly excited as the National Federation of Young Farmers’ Club (NFYFC) Annual Convention is just around the corner.
This year is especially exciting as this is our 5th year supporting their fantastic and hugely popular event with a whole range of AV solutions. During the event, we switch from conference and live streaming during the day to live entertainment in the evening. The evening’s events consist of two rooms which host DJ’s and live bands throughout the night.
Here at ESW, we really like to get in to detail with all the extras we can provide to our clients. Something we commonly use are hearing loops.
Hearing loops are a special type of sound system and are great for those attending your event with hearing aids. They work by providing a magnetic, wireless signal that is picked up by the hearing aid when it is set to ‘T’ (Telecoil) setting.
This coming May, our in-house specialist conference recording product ‘Talking Slides’ heads abroad once again, this time travelling Stateside to the M1 Concourse in Detroit for the AutoSens conference.
We’re really looking forward to working alongside Sense Media once again. We first started working with Sense Media in Belgium last year and since then we have worked together on multiple events. We have supported them in numerous different areas including conference recording, highlight videos and also providing AV equipment.
Earlier this month, the ESW staff were treated by Martin and Tracey to a day out of their busy schedule to descend on to the sunny city of Bath in the depths of Somerset, for an eventful team trip away.
The trip began with a delightful lunch at The Green Bird Café, with some having a light bite and others plating up a bit more, having a ‘Soup & A Half’.
Once loaded up with energy, the group split down the middle in to two teams and embarked on a fact finding ‘Treasure Hunt’, answering a book of questions by working alongside each other and using information found around the historic city.
ESW Solutions is proud to announce that it is now part of Paignton Zoo’s Great Big Rhino Project which went live in July. The Devon-based audio visual experts have signed up to sponsor a unique piece of three dimensional public art in the form of a life-size model rhino!
Paignton Zoo Environmental Park is the largest and best-known zoo in the South West and is raising funds for endangered Javan and Sumatran rhino conservation. 42 life-size model rhinos have been sponsored by businesses and community groups, painted in original designs by specially-commissioned artists and displayed in public, creating a unique art trail around Exeter and South Devon.
